Designer Banded Shades

  • Two layers of fabric that shift to change the atmosphere
  • Enjoy sheer fabrics for light filtering views
  • Achieve light control and privacy with solid fabrics

Hunter Douglas Banded Shades are comprised of two layers of fabrics. The fabrics are made of sheer and solid shapes, sometimes referred to as Zebra blinds or layered shades. These unique roller shades offer three positions for your home's view-through and lighting. In one position, you can enjoy a limited view of the outdoors, while inviting diffused light into your home through the sheer fabrics. In the second position, the two layers of fabrics can shift, creating more light control and privacy–even room darkening with select solid fabrics. For the third adjustment, roll the entire dual roller shade up into the headrail to access your windows and doors.

How do Zebra Shades Work?

Two layers of fabric are patterned using solid and sheer shapes, that when rotated, offer a view of the outdoors and filtered natural light. Or, they close off the view and block the outside light. It’s the two layers of rotating fabrics that have many people referring to them as double roller shades. Also known as zebra shades, Hunter Douglas Banded Shades feature the same striped patterning as traditional zebra shades.

Closed vs. Open Position

When the shades are in the closed position you'll get the full effect of privacy and light control. When in the open position shades allow for viewthrough and increased daylight for wherever your day takes you.
